Robert "Bob" Benowitz
Executive Vice President of Operations
As Executive Vice President of Operations, Bob Benowitz provides operations support for Primrose Schools, offering new school training, accreditation administration, and best practice advice to franchise operations consultants, regional managers and individual franchise owners.
A driving force behind Primrose Schools’ rigorous accreditation and internal quality assurance programs, Benowitz has worked to ensure the consistent quality of education and care across the more than 200 Primrose Schools in the United States. In addition to his operations role, Benowitz has and continues to serve as a leading member of the Primrose Schools Advisory Council, providing strategic input on overall operations and continual enhancements to the Primrose Schools system. Benowitz and his department also lead safety and security efforts for all Primrose Schools, and supported the development of the Primrose Safe Schools Plan, which school owners and management staff access in emergency and crisis situations.
Benowitz has spent his career, more than 38 years, in the child care industry. He has served as President and CEO of Enrichment Centers of America; comptroller, school director, assistant regional manager, region Manager for Mini-Skools; zone vice president for KinderCare Learning Centers; and vice president of operations for Kiddie Academy. In these roles, Benowitz was able to grow the companies in both size and profitability.
Benowitz’s passion for and experience in the child care industry has led him to continually bring innovative thinking and solutions to the table. Committed to franchise owners and their success, he has implemented policies to maximize school enrollment, while keeping quality of care as top priority. In 2007, he commissioned an independent agency to administer the Primrose Schools Parent Satisfaction Survey, measuring key factors including: nurturing environment, quality of curriculum, classroom environment and condition/cleanliness of schools. The overwhelming results provided a tool for franchise owners to communicate the Primrose difference and drive enrollment in their schools.
He is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and the Georgia Child Care Association (GCCA), formerly serving on its Board of Directors. Benowitz earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University’s School of Urban Life. He currently resides in Cartersville, Georgia with his wife Judy. The couple has three grown children, Shayne, Kristy and Brett.
